Darlingtonia sending runners

My Darlingtonia has sent out a runner with a new plantlet. Now. When I'm starting to reduce photoperiod to prepare for dormancy (go figure).

Question is, do I let the crowded little plantlet stay in the pot with the parent all winter, or should I separate it beforehand? Not sure which would be better.

I would wait and separate them in spring, although I doubt doing it now would do much harm.
