Hi guys. I'm having trouble with seed pots... Cyanobacter keeps appearing and I don't know how to kill it without hurting the seedlings or the germination rate... any help?
You could try 25:75 mixture of 4% peroxide (the brown bottle at the pharmacy) and distilled water. I killed the bacteria and slime molds, etc on my germinating Nepenthes seed with such a mixture.
Peroxide is cheaper unless perhaps you can get a friendly doctor or vet to write you a prescription for erythromycin. In prescription form it's cheap, but over the counter it's much more expensive.
