Hi,
well i got this big creek in my neighbor hood. i was wondering if it was ok for CPs. i took a look at some a whil ago and it was pretty murkey but that was probably because it rained two nights before. well?

my bog is fed by a creek, so it depends on each individual creek. have it tested for chemicals, nutrients, and minerals.

In a pinch, I have used streamwater. but like Clint said, you can't generalize. You have to know your body of water and that requires testing.

I can do a TDS test for you. Send me a sample.

hehe, funny thing is the dirt around the creek is clay, and it's not full of sand , rather rocks. Everything grows great and it has the nicest sphagnum i've ever seen so i don't complain. the plants look 10X better in the bog then they ever did on my deck.

weeds grow well there, too...
