I've got a magic window!
It's been several years since I've been to Wharton State Forest - AKA the NJ Pine Barrens.
Thought I'd share a few pics I took.

There was storms the week before I went out and as you can see the water was high in some spots. All you could see was the sarracenia flower stalks above the water.

Hey, do you know if it's illegal to take seeds or small plants in nj? I live right over in nepa.

Those are gorgeous pictures, it must have been a tiring but wonderful trip. I love that turtle.

Beautiful photos of a stunning place! Glad you were able to make it out, and nice to see you're still enjoying kayaking.

Fantastic!
Beautiful location and wonderful photography!
Do you know the species of sundews?
Thanks for posting. :D

Thanks everyone. Glad you liked the pics.

Thanks. Last year I did not get out kayaking too much. This year I'm doing pretty good. Was in FL back in February paddling Silver Springs, Rainbow River, Blue Springs State Park, and Shingle Creek. Then went to GA and paddled in the Okefenokee Swamp.
I already have plans to head back down to FL in November and January 2020 to do some paddling.

Oh; loaded up my SUP (Stand up Paddleboard) this evening. It's supposed to be a hot one tomorrow. I'll go paddle after work and "lose my balance" a few times. LOL

Thanks.
There is 3 (4) forms that grow in the NJ Pine Barrens.
- Drosera intermedia
- Drosera rotundiloria
- Drosera filiformis

The 4th is a hybrid that someone showed me where a small patch was growing many years ago. I remember going back 2 or 3 years after to the same location and not being able to find any of them.
- Drosera x hybrida (filiformis X intermedia)
