Cedar is bad for snakes right?

I got another half log for my ball python cage. It looks different from the other one I got last year. It's made by zoo-med. The habba-hut. I washed it and put it in the oven to kill anything. Then it started to small real strong. I don't know what cedar looks or smells likes so how do I know if I should use this? Would zoo-med sell anything that would be cedar and that could kill your snake or other animal?

you honestly dont know what cedar smells like? :0o:

go to a pet shop and find some cedar bedding that is sold for small animals...........you will figue it out real quick. its a distinct smell and not one thats easily confused with something else

i would image baking a log, any log, would produce a strong smell.................
