Campanulata x Edwardsiana hybrid

Hey all, thought some may want to see this.

Hybrid I produced in-house somewhere around 2017. Edwardsiana male and campanulata female cross.

Was a rough ride to get it here (cryo froze pollen in liquid n2, female was on the other side of the country, tissue culture germination, etc) and was the only seed that sprouted of 1000s, let alone grew.

But, wound up with a compact eddie look-alike that's pleased to grow like crazy on a kitchen windowsill.

Now only 5 more years till cuttings.... 😂

I can post a few more photos if there's interest. It's a photogenic little fella.

Nice, I enjoy some pure green neps! You'll never hear me say "No more pictures, please." ;)

Wouldn't quite call it a lookalike, campanulata influence is very strong in it...but has potential should it put on size more to match edwardsiana.

'Sounds like an amazing amount of work to bring things to where you are now. 'Nice when that pays off into something really worth it.

Man... yeah. It was so much work to get it here. Failed to get roots in vitro, then rejected coco coir media, then had a caterpillar eat the growth point... 5 years of constant worry.

Caterpillar damage is the chewed leaf. It was recycled as plant food when caught. Heh.

Definitely paid off so far, though.
