If you have wet peat in there, why not throw in some live sphagnum? You can get a colony of live moss growing.

Ehh, I don't know. As of Right now, I don't have live spaghnum, Just LFS(I know it does contain spores though) and I like it how it is right now(well, how it's going to be when I add a live plant.
