Dear all,
I bought a Venus flytrap from a nursery specialised in carnivorous plants a few months ago.
It was doing fine until summer when its leaves suddenly started turning brown and stopped producing new traps. According to the people at the nursery, this was probably due to heat stress, even though I always kept my plant under the shade during the hottest months.
As of right now, the plant's conditions have improved, but what worries me the most is that this Venus flytrap is still struggling to produce new traps. Although a few have managed to develop completely, many still turn brown at the tip while small and never develop. Although the frequency of this phenomenon has decreased since last summer, it sadly still happens. I would love to hear more opinions if any of you know more about the possible causes and solutions.
Thanks everyone for being helpful.
Best regards.
