Hi,
I have had two 400 MH and one 1000 for a long time that I have never used. I need to build something downstairs. I have also had a big roll of Mylar for years.
What sizes do you think a 400 would cover and how big for a 1000? I would guess 4x4 for the former and 8x8 for the latter, though I know someone who(I think) has a 8 x12 with a 1000. He know uses a track for the light(I believe), but I thought his Nepenthes coloration was great before.

A friend of mine gets more use from his lights by having them roll on a track to cover a wider grow area if that is what you mean. I think your grow area light estimates are spot on.

IIRC Pyro uses both sized bulbs might wanna ask him............

wish i had those bulbs......i would like to do something similar.
