Basal shoots- what to do?

My bushy N. ventricosa (5ish growth points) has a whole mess of basal shoots coming out the center, and I was wondering if there was any way to use this to my advantage and propagate it Can you do this with basal shoots, and if so, what's the best way to remove/handle/repot them? I've never tried propagating a nep before. Thanks!

Slice where they connect to the main stem and spray both cuts with a fungicide as a preventative measure. Then pot it up. Try to get roots if you can, otherwise you can use a rooting hormone if you want, but it's optional. I don't use it.

I'd leave them alone until they are about 4 inches across, though.
