Basal shoots- what to do?

My bushy N. ventricosa (5ish growth points) has a whole mess of basal shoots coming out the center, and I was wondering if there was any way to use this to my advantage and propagate it :) Can you do this with basal shoots, and if so, what's the best way to remove/handle/repot them? I've never tried propagating a nep before. Thanks!

Slice where they connect to the main stem and spray both cuts with a fungicide as a preventative measure. Then pot it up. Try to get roots if you can, otherwise you can use a rooting hormone if you want, but it's optional. I don't use it.

I'd leave them alone until they are about 4 inches across, though.
