Can VFT's be grown in a 50-50 mixture of peat and bark the same way nepenthes can be grown in a 70-30 mix of bark and peat? Will it be better than 100% LFS?
I wouldn't recommend it, but it's definitely possible. Back before I knew anything about proper cultivation of CPs, I grew flytraps, sundews and American pitcher plants in 100% fir bark. They lived that way for three years, but I repotted them in the standard 2:1 peat and perlite mix this year, and they've doubled in size over this growing season.
