It must just be the grandness of the bloom to see it reduced to mere parts and entombed.
I do find it cool at the same time and am anxiously awaiting THIS book (out at the end of May) which is supposed to go into extreme detail on floral dissection as well as drawing, finally! Botanical Illustration Course: with the Eden Project
