And this one (from some nature show) shows another hundred-legged Goliath duking it out with a tarantula.

It's interesting that you posted links to these videos because I came across these a few months ago in an attempt to satiate my curiosity regarding centipedes. Marvelous creatures but the videos are definitely hard to watch.

You hit the nail on the head. These critters have been around for 400 million+ years, and their lifestyle is really fascinating for anyone interested in nature.....but even I, with my infinite tolerance for reptiles, amphibians, insects and spiders, had quite an unpleasant tingling sensation on the back of my hands after watching these vids. No nightmares, tho
