am i still supposed to see parts of the fly?

my vft has been digesting this fly for 2 weeks, its 1/2 its pitcher size in length and not fat at all, it just opened and it the fly still resembles a fly i dont see what parts if any were digested!

well it sucks the juices out of the fly. the exoskeleton will remail.

The quickest way to tell is if it still has eyes, or mearly the sockets once occupied by them. I have pots of vfts where every trap has the sad remains of previous victims. For the most part all the bugs have pretty much come out like they went in. It takes em' a few days to look like you'd think they would.
