Adjusting photoperiod

When it comes to Nepenthes (and Heli's and Cephs for that matter), should I be adjusting the photoperiod about now down from 16 hours to say 12 hours? How long and during what months are people adjusting their photo periods for these plants? This is my first winter with CP's.

I took mine down to 13-14 hrs last month. I plan on increasing it back to 16 hrs towards the end of February.
