I'm about to order some replacement bulbs for my terrarium, which is currently lit by two 30 watt daylight CFs. I've decided to order them online on Ebay, just because the prices are pretty good. But I'm stuck between bulbs.
I can either order a set of 30 watt 5000k bulbs or a set of 30 watt 6400K bulbs. Now, I don't remember what the Kelvin rating is on my current bulbs, but they cast a bluish light, and I find that to pretty aesthetically pleasing. This makes it seem like my bulbs are closer to 5000k, so would 6400k be more or less blue in appearance? Or would they be whiter?
And finally, which of the two bulbs would you guys recommend I purchase? My plants have always grown fine with my current bulbs, but if a higher Kelvin rating would look nicer, I might go with that.
