Unlike the "porn" SOME people of a UK persuasion post on this forum, these photos are "G-rated". heh

Believe this to be an Anax junius (aka Common Darner). Quite a respectable sized beastie it was.







Also was intrigued to observe an Anoplius (an iridescent blue-black spider wasp) in action attempting to get prey with which to stuff her nursery larder. She landed in an orb-weaver web and began strumming with her forelegs to tempt the web owner out into the open. The spider refused to cooperate, and when I moved in hopes of getting my camera she flew off.
