110 morels!

Cool thing is, this is the quiet before the storm. We've got a 7 straight days of warm rain this week. Just what the mushroom ordered! Picked a total of 105 little grays in one spot, and 5 big blacks in another. What a day! Can't wait to see all the shrooms next week..

Nice! I went out looking for morels in the forest behind my house today, but no luck...I have more mushrooms in my yard than there are in that forest.

I did find some ash trees....even some fallen ash trees....but no dice.

And as far as I know, we don't have elms around here....mostly hickory, cottonwood, ash, and some spindly smooth barked tree I can't identify

Awesome were having warm rains all this week so hopefully it'll be shroom time on the forest trails next week. I'll have to try and beat everyone else, now that they've built up this area there isn't just a few people out there anymore.

Here in Oregon, good morel locations are a guarded secret. I would have better luck getting the location of a good gold mine. :)
