10 Gallon Planted Tank

I have a 10 gallon tank with nothing it and I was thinking about doing a planted tank with it. How many watts would be needed for the plants that need the highest amount of light?

Get a normal incandescent-socket tank hood and pop two 20w "curly" compact flourescents into it. You'll have enough wattage to grow almost everything, including Ricca.

Checkout Plantgeek.net for aquarium-plant info.

EntwinedScylla nailed it. I had the same setup over my 10gal tank when I had dwarf pufffers and could grow dang near anything (too bad my supplies were limited, and my experience with ordering plants online has been bad)

Broke it down and now have 160W NO Flourescent over a 55gal tank.
