    Pinguicula Caerulea care

Here's a picture I took of it yesterday morning Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet I've been growing it indoors with bright, indirect light, standing in a 1/4th inch of water. I only add more water once all the water is gone. I Love the goo droplets on the bottom of the leaves. I'm...

    Pinguicula Caerulea care

Hello, yesterday I picked up a pinguicula Caerulea, it's my first ping and I could really use some tips to keep it alive. I know it's a warm temperate species, and that I need to use distilled, RO, or rain water only. I'm in zone 9b on the west coast and I'm not sure if it needs to be grown...

    New to Nepenthes

Yeah this one was in a death cube, I would love to find one in a hanging basket though. I Wasn't planning on getting into Nepenthes for a year or two since I've killed many a houseplant but I find CP's to be much more interesting than other plants, I've become quite addicted to them. I Checked...

    New to Nepenthes

Thank you both for your advice! I put it in a southeast facing window that I've had good luck growing orchids in. I haven't checked our water quality but I will. I haven't really looked to closely at the soil but it does seem to be pretty airy. I Can't wait to find out what variety I have, I'm...

    Unknown Sarr's

Thank you for your replies, I really hope the first one is a Tarnok, but even if its not its still a beautiful plant, and I really wanted a Leucophylla. The closest picture I could find of the second was of a Rubra Jonesii in The Savage Garden, although the images of Jonesii I've found online...

    Plant journal

Thanks everyone for your replies. I was taking pictures on my phone and liked seeing howy plants progressed, but I'm running out of memory to do that. I think I'm going to start a notebook and doing weekly notes. I like the instagram idea, I've never used it personally, but my husband does for...

    Unknown Sarr's

Hi i was wondering if anyone had any guesses as to what varieties these are, I don't plan on labeling them, I'm just curious. The first one obviously has some Leucophylla influence, possibly Tarnok, although I won't know until it flowers. The second one I'm thinking is some sort of Rubra...

    Care Questions

I just got my Venus Flytrap in the mail today, it's small, but very healthy and came from a reputable nursery. I put it immediately outside in a little under an inch of water, Im hoping it grows well, I'm still a little worried that 5 hours of light wont be enough, but my other plants are doing...

    Hi from Far Nor Cal

I've never heard of that spot, I'll have to look into it, I'd love to check it out and take some pictures.

    Hi from Far Nor Cal

I've never seen any plants in that area although I've been in the Smith River area before, we used to vacation in Crescent City. Did you visit the Darlingtonia trail in Gasquet? I haven't been there yet, but i plan on checking it out next time we pass through there.

    Hi from Far Nor Cal

We have Darlingtonia not too far north from where I'm at, I'm hoping to go see some this summer. We also have some Sundews, and Utricularia in the area that I really want to go see.
