I finally found a picture (a drawing actually) of my mystery vine, which is Philo. panduriformis.
While inspecting my plant tonight I see that it has put up quite a few flower buds in the leaf axils. I cut one with a black spot on it off and unrolled it to see if it was a leaf or flower and it's a flower spathe! I've heard flowering philos is hard but I actually grew it out on my front steps all summer. How long do these normally take to open and develop? Also can I get seeds out of these flowers (self polinating-or something I can do with paintbrush or tuning fork?) or are they like neps, with only one sex per plant?
Thanks for any thoughts!
