NASC Auction will END in...

Review the rules :)
NASC auction is OPEN!!

Wild Blackberry (aka Dewberry) Rubus flagellaris

Up for auction is a Wild Dewberry plant (Rubus flagellaris).

Dewberries have small fruit, full of delicious wild flavor! They are low growing and have sprawling vines (unlike most blackberries that form canes). They have thorns, so wear gloves when dealing with them. In Spring (here in Zone 8b [now updated to 9a]) they produce lovely white flowers that attract pollinators. The berries start out green, turn red, then dark purple when ripe. They don't seem to be picky about soil, and are fairly drought tolerant.

Only the plant will be included in the auction, hose attachment is for scale.

Shipping on me for the USA.
PM with any questions!

Opening Bid $10

It will not attach, but if you tie it up or weave it through, then yes, it will sprawl all over a fence.
That will make berry picking easier, and with it's thorns, it will prevent anyone from climbing a fence!
