I am sure most of you have heard of Wikipedia before. It is an international, collaborative effort to produce a high quality and free encyclopedia. It's a great educational tool and used by millions every day.
Now onto the main point.. Thanks to the work of several members, there is now an article on almost every known Nepenthes species. Understandably, the majority of these are only "stubs" at the moment and do not contain much information. If anyone wants to contribute by expanding articles then please go right ahead, registration is not even required! There is also a specific WikiProject which deals with all carnivorous plants, not just Nepenthes.
What is most needed at the moment are some good photographs. Less than 1 in 5 articles currently have a representative picture. I have already submitted my photos from the trip to Borneo. If more members join in then we could create the most expansive online treatment of the genus, no doubt about it.
Let me know what you guys think. =)
Thanks,
Nep_grower.
