Every summer, the noise in the trees can become deafening, but I've only ever actually seen them a handful of times. This guy was alive, if only barely....

I do like cicadas. Seems I see their molts more often than the bugs themselves, though.

Yeah, don't actually see the adults often. My rose-hair finds that particularly regrettable.
