Eastern Narrowmouth Frog (Gastrophryne carolinensis)
I've only seen them once. It was under a log, and there were tons of slimy salamanders in nearby logs... I'm pretty sure it was in the croatan forest somewhere by the coast.
If you've never been there, I recommend you go. we saw 4 (count them FOUR) luna moths that had JUST eclosed (we only found one cocoon though). we also saw a bunch of salamanders, etc.

Thats a interesting looking frog/. best i have ever seen are tiger salamanders!

Yep...they are narrow mouthed toads/frogs...whatever you wish to call em. Cool find!

Those have got to be the cutest frogs I've ever seen. I wish I had one for a pet, but I'm busy with other stuff. Zongyi
