What is this plant doing?

As you can see, it's put out an upside-down tendril, which is: a) not normal and b) not fixing itself. That tendril has stayed like that for a few days now, and it's making me worry that my plant got drugged somehow. Also, the newest leaf has some weird white splotches on it. Does anyone know what's going on here?

That is still in the realm of normality, assuming that within the next couple weeks it will get longer and eventually face the right way again. Some pictures of the white splotches might help give better insight into what's going on as well.
