What is happening here?!

I was just checking up on individual plants when I found this! it is on the very end of the flower stalk, and appears to be a new plantlet growing. What I want to know is how? Is it getting nutrients from the stem? Or is it just sprouting new leaves here?

First time I have seen this, but then again I am not nearly as experienced as others on this site. I just discovered that spagnum moss has started to growing in the pots!

Flowers are just modified leaves so sometimes they fail to modify correctly. Sometimes an entire plant can form on a flower stalk and this is known as false vivipary.
