What are the advantages of a misting system over an ultrasonic humidifier in a highland terrarium setup?

I'm finishing up my Highland nep/heli terrarium and I'm a little confused why there seems to be a general preference for misting systems over cool mist humidifiers. I have both (already had a diaphragm pump for my RO filter, so I just bought a few mistking nozzles) and I feel like the fogger is so much more effective at maintaining consistent humidity levels and producing less excess water. For reference, I am also growing live sphagnum on an LFS substrate in the terrarium surrounding the pots and it seems like whenever I use the misting system, things just become too wet. Is there anybody that has experience/knowledge of both of these setups and can speak to why the misting system is considered better? Is there a use case where using both is beneficial? Thanks in advance!
