Weird leaves?

My Sarracenia purpurea seems to have some sort of leaf growth? I didn't think that this species is supposed to have any type of leaf. Off to the side of two new schutes that are coming up, their is two small leaves? Does anyone know what this is? I am thinking that I should pull them out, or cut them but I wanted to consult everyone before I did something potentially harmful

If they are coming from the plant, just leave them there. My purpurea has done this before. Just seems to send up a leaf here and there. New pitcher will form.

I will check my old photos to see if I have a picture of one of these leaves.
