Pupurea (and rosea if you like) is the only Saracenia you need to worry about in this regard. Even then, as long as they are grown outside, the rain should take care of things most years.
yep, only purpurea needs rainwater adding to the pitchers - the rest produce their own digestive juices inside the pitchers (you won't be able see it from above).
