I don't know who to give credit to, but thank you.
Someone has mapped out Heli land for google maps
Takes a bit to get the controls down, but once you do, you can zoom around and see the relative elevations

For me, it works much better in Firefox then IE
enjoy the flight

Hint:
Start south of where you want to view
Zoom in using +/-
then use the perspective control to look up (top control)
then use center control to move around smoothly or drag using mouse

Really cool! Here are some useful controls I found:

Use arrow keys to move around
Hold shift and use arrow keys to rotate perspective around a point in front of you
Hold control and use arrow keys to rotate around a point at your position
