Years ago, I was able to find CPs quite easily by watching for appropriate habitat in northern Florida, Southern Alabama & southeastern North Carolina (maybe still true today?). However, I never had the same good fortune in South Carolina. The state definitely has CPs but nowhere near as common as the other areas...
