Utricularia volunteer

This plant showed up in one of my large Utricularia pots. The leaves tend to emerge as fairly symmetrical with three lobes (left leaf). Over time the middle lobe elongates until it looks more like the leaf on the right.

Looks like a weedy fern to me, I get all kinds of them and pull them out!

No reason to kill the ferns but they do often get huge so you might wanna move it to it's own pot or mount on a piece of cork with a LFS pad. Usually these turn out to be larger fronded epiphytes 1-2 ft in height. I love all these little hitchhikers that emerge from dried LFS - except the sedge grass. That stuff sucks. I let it go wild in my rajah basket the stuff got over 3 feet in height! LOL
