Using fruits to attract some stuff?

Yes, they do cost money. I buy flightless fruit flies for my mantid nymphs, but if I can make a culture area outside next to my CP's by using fruit I could gather some when I need them, and my CP's can have the extras

You could just get a bug zapper and grind them into bite sized pieces.

or fish food.

Or like Uncle Clint.. you could go the easy way and use orchid fertilizer.

These invade my wormbin alot during the summer, so that is one easy and smell free way to attract them(place your fruit in with some compost etc. to soak up the smell).

When flightless fruit flies mate with flying types the subsequent generations quickly loose their flightless characteristics. I guess it's a recessive gene.
