Unknown tree

In hawaii, I came upon a small tree about 20 feet high, and with light green fruit in small clusters. The fruit looked sort of like an avocado and about the size of a orange. The fruit on the ground felt spongy when i touched it.

I'd love to help and being here in Bali, chances are whatever it is you saw, we have them here too.
Your description is a little vague sorry, I can't think what you mean.
Is the fruit edible?
What does the fruit look like?
Any more details on the leaves of the tree?
The flowers before the fruit?

Give us a few more clues.

Cheers, Troy.

the fruit isn't edible(at least i don't think so), the leaves are sort of like calabash tree leaves, and the fruit are widest at the bottom, and there were no flowers.

Could it be a breadfruit tree? Breadfruit trees will grow much larger than 20' but the fruit sounds kind of similiar.

It wasn't a bread fruit tree 'cause I've seen breadfruits trees before and the fruit is a lot bigger
