Since the Sarr forum is on the fritz, I figured I might as well do it here.

Take this hypothetical situation. If I were to cross a Rubra and a Minor. Could I call all the offspring S X Rehderi ? No matter how different they may appear?

Yes, you would call all the offspring x rehderi as that is the Latin name for this cross. If you had any truly exceptional plants from it you could then give them a pretty name and register them as a cultivar
