Stratification for vft seeds?

Is stratification necessary for VFT seeds? Savage Garden doesn't say it's needed, but yet specifically mentions its need for Sarrs. If yes, how long should stratification be? Thanks!

Yes, they do need stratification. I stratify them in the fridge for about 4-5 weeks.

Stratification in the case of the VFT is a cold, damp period that allows the germination inhibitors in the seeds to leech out, thus allowing the seeds to germinate.

Are you sure, I've nver needed it, or had any problems without it...

Id say plant them ASAP. 11 out of 12 of mine have sprouted.
