Something wierd

My S. purpurea is flowering under grow lights. How wierd is that! I mean, the plant will be going dormant in a matter of weeks. Anyway, I think I'll just let it flower for the first time, and collect the seed.

I have just had my S. alata and S. purp x S. minor flower

I think it just depends on temps and lighting ( still learning about Sarracenia! )

I just recently removed the seed from S. flava and S. leucophylla....so you aren't the only one with weirdness going on

I've clipped off probably at least a dozen flower stalks already this fall. I think Indian Summers are partially to blame.

Maybe if I'm lucky, I'll get a special form of purpurea that I can register as a cultivar
