My flytrap stopped growing and it has a lot of tinny red dots all over it most oh them seem to be on the tips of new growth. They are all extremely small it looks like they are the size of a needle tip. Are these bad for the plant?

Are they moving? They could be red spider mites.

i never see them move

Hmmm, red spots that don't move? Could be a fungi or a virus, but it sounds a lot like a virus

Do you have a hand lense? I find them handy at looking at things...such as tiny red dots.

Hello,

without a magnifier, Spidermites may not appear to be moving
go to my link to see if these are the symptoms and try the procedure to verify IF you have Spidermites. That's why I put it there as I found scant little on the subject on this forum.

Half the cure is Proper Diagnosis, If they are not Spider mites,
then maybe Darcie could recommend something.
