Slow? Or Not Healthy?

I recieved a Sweet Pitcher about 4-5 weeks ago and it didnt have any pitchers. The next week a new pitcher shot up very quickly then slowed way down. It is just now opening and there doesn't seem to be any sign of more pitchers growing just the one thats opening. Now my question is, is it a slow grower? or is it sick? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you get it from a garden center? That may be the problem right there.

If it's open, you might need to feed it to give it a boost.

Sarracenias have different growth habits. Some have a big burst and then stop, some grow a couple of crops in a year and some grow all the way through. Whatever the plant, it might stop for a while for no apparent reason, to have root growth spurt, to develop new growing points or because of stress.
