only made 2 so far and some seed pods that i have cross pollinated and im waiting for the seeds
i pollinate them by completely removing the anthers with tweezers from both flowers, then washout both flowers with distilled water and dab them with a tiny twisted up napkin to soak up the water, then i touch the removed anthers to the opposite flowers, I read that was the best way to do it on a post that came from this forum I think
anyways here's the 2 i already have started,
(april, 13 2012)
^this is what i germinated them in, the infamous Lowes cube of death
^ each corner had different seeds in it,
top left is xSnyderi (Natalensis x Nidiformis) X Capensis,
top right is Spatulata x Dielsiana
bottom left is capensis typical x alba, I just wanted to see what would happen
^Spatulata x Dielsiana, they seemed to be growing the fastest and i can see the differences in them already
^xSnyderi (Natalensis x Nidiformis) X Capensis, they werent growing as fast
and these are from little over a month later, may 22
xSnyderi (Natalensis x Nidiformis) X Capensis
Dielsiana x Spatulata
these are some of my favorite ones
^this one is getting leaf shape like a capensis where the one next to it is staying more box shaped atm, and is a bit larger you can see the difference better from the overhead view

red is the skinny leaf one and blue is the bigger box shaped one, these were the 2 most vigorous of the snyderi x capes aswell.
thats all for now, will take more in a few weeks or so, its really hard to get the camera to focus on some of the small ones
thanks for looking, if you want to point anything out feel free. and the question , where do I buy Colchicine to attempt to make hybrids fertile, and what % of it would I use in a water solution
