How can i keep the plants i'm shipping warm enough that they will not die overnight. Its been in the 20's here and i'm concerned that they will die, even the dormant ones. Any and all ideas would be great.
I've always double-boxed or used insulated boxes if I've had to, and I mean absolutely had to ship this time of year. Since the USPS changed priority mail pricing so that anything beyond 12"x12"x12" costs a fortune, I've pretty much had to abandon double-boxing. To insulate a box, cut sheets of 1"+ styrofoam to fit. Also watch the forecasts and look for "warm" days, especially at the destination.
