Sending

hay guys,
i recently sent some ping cuttings to florida from georgia. they arrived black and rotten. any idies how to send ping cuttings in the mail?

thanks
mike

I take a ball os LFS and get it wet then squeeze it out like a sponge until it is only just damp. Break the ball in half and place the leaves in the center then put the ball back together. Stick the ball in a bag, tie the bag shut and toss it in a box.

The key is to keep the cuttings barely damp or dry. I have received some winter(dormant) leaf cuttings of P.ehlersiae var. albiflora from Germany. They were shipped dry, between two sheets of cardboard. They arrived a week after being sent, and only 1 cutting out of ~7 rotted.
