Seeds not germinating!

I sowed some D. capensis seeds on Monday. They are not doing anything. My first attempt at germinating sundew seeds went great. Tons of little D. burmannii seedlings in 3 days.

Do capensis seeds take longer?

Also, How long does it take for gemmae to grow?

Thanks

3 days seems very quick.
Some plants can take 4 weeks before they germinate.

You might see some activity on gemmae in 2 weeks.

Yeah capensis are slow from seed and then ZOOM!!!!!!!!!! they shhot up:)

I think temperature has alot to do with germinating capensis seeds. I sowed some very fresh seeds that I harvested myself. It took some temperature fluctuations until there was a good uniform germinatin, nice warm temps.

Patience, sunpitcher. I took 4 years to germinate D. ramellosa, and after 12 years, still have the plants and their offspring.

lol

I guess I am a little anxious to have plants back in my greenhouse

Bugweed,

Did you keep the medium damp all that time, or did you try to duplicate "rainy season-dry season?"
I guess there is smoke water and GA3 too...

Cheers,

Joe
