Hi guys,
question just popped into my head....may have been covered before, but I guess I missed it.

Since with VFT's and Sars, you can skip the first year of dormancy, I was wondering if you can do the same with drosera. I have some seedling D. rotundifolia, and they're very cute. It would be nice to keep them around....

T think you will find that they will take care of this matter without your intervention. If they form hibernacula they will need a dormancy, if not then you may be alright, although the plants may not be as strong next season and there may be losses as a result.

You can skip the first dormancey with a sarr? Oh good, I was worried about freezing my itty bitty northern purps.

Darcie,
I don't think you CAN freeze a northern purp! They grow way up into Canada!
