Two flava variants are looking for names! Please help them (and me) out if you can!

The first two photos are what was labeled from Cook's CP's as S. flava var. rugelli....I think it is var. cuprea myself. Unless var. rugelli forms have a coppery top and not the characteristic red throat blob. The second two photo came to me as var. flava, but it does not vein enough I think and perhaps a cross like var. maxima x var. flava is evident. Thanks for any ideas!

Dustin

The top 2 are var. cuprea, and the bottom 2 are var. rugelii. Yes NG it is a color variant of rugelii. Never quite looking like one, and all the time, you wondering if it is, or if it ain't! I'll send you a beauty.

Wow! That cuprea is really nice!

Ah thanks!

I appreaciate it. I'm looking for the classical rugelli with the almost luminescent pitchers and the big red blob at the throat...the picture in Don Schnell's CP of NA and CA is my absolute favorite photo!
