Haha it does indeed resemble the dewlap of an iguana. That structure is called the "wing" or "ala". While I don't grow S.rosea, I do grow S.p.purpurea, S.p.venosa and S.p.venosa montanta. I've often seen these exaggerated ala in late season pitchers in the fall in several of them. Are these all last years pitchers or does this particular plant hold onto this trait throughout the growing season ?
