Repotting Cephalotus

Repotted some Cephalotus today because the media was drying much too fast and took some photos.

New and old pot. New pot is 5.5" wide.

excellent work! :) is your mix just perlite and LFS?

times like these i look over at my teeeeny tiny ceph and shake my head hahah. maybe some day :p

Thanks Myles, yup just perlite and LFS.

The second plant was all brown with no life above ground a little over a year ago. They grow fast once they're happy.

I love your cephs... Brilliant! Thats a shame that I cant get these in my country :/

Thanks dyzio. Send me a PM, there are plenty of vendors in the EU with Cephalotus.

*gasp* I remember when I had a Czech Giant that looked that awesome. So jealous..

Thanks mass. it didnt look so awesome after it nearly died. This was it about about 14 months ago maybe. I switched to LFS and perlite about a month after the pic cause it came to a halt. Glad I did cause its been working so far.

yeah, see.. LFS is what killed all my big kids. What works for some, doesn't work for others. Really comes down to the environment I think.
