Quick Question

I was just reading through some stuff and was wondering if I am supposed to put the water in S. Purpurea pitchers

You could.
Usually they get filled up by rain sooner or later.
It will certainly not harm them.

you can, but i wouldnt. If you mist them they will accumilate with water over time. they will make a digestive pool without water to digest their catch. water just dillutes it. Just dont fill other pitcher plants with water, only purperea.
