You've probably seen P. Bifurcatum and it's cultivars, that's the most common P.Platycerium around, there's another 17 species, but a lot of them are far less forgiving and finicky to grow. I'm trying now to make some hybrids, but obviously it's a very slow long road -_-

Forgot to answer your question Newman, they like filtered light to semi shade, depending on the species. The african ones like it more shady than the rest, the australian species like P. Bifurcatum, P. Veitchii can be grown in full sun, just as long as the shields/roots are moist.
